Your Path to Empowerment

About Me

Real Therapy for Real People

I'm not your typical nodding therapist who just asks "how does that make you feel?" every five minutes. As a seasoned mental health professional, I bring something different to the therapeutic relationship—authenticity, directness, and a genuine commitment to your growth.

Why My Clients Stay

My clients consistently tell me what sets our work apart:

I keep it real. Expect straightforward feedback and honest observations. When you're caught in contradictions or self-deception, I'll compassionately but firmly point it out. Growth happens outside your comfort zone, and I'm not afraid to guide you there.I'm a human first, therapist second. You won't find clinical detachment or robotic responses here. I laugh, I connect, and I bring my full personality to our sessions. Therapy is a relationship, and authentic relationships require authentic people.

I balance challenge with compassion. While I'll call out patterns that aren't serving you, I also create a genuinely safe space where vulnerability is honored. My office is where difficult truths meet deep understanding.I'm invested in real outcomes. I'm not interested in endless sessions with minimal progress. My approach focuses on tangible growth and meaningful change in your life. When you succeed, I succeed.

My Approach - I believe therapy works best when it combines:

  • Honest feedback that cuts through denial

  • Evidence-based techniques tailored to your unique needs

  • A genuine human connection that builds trust

  • Clear goals with measurable progress

If you're ready for a therapist who will challenge you, champion you, and create space for transformative growth, we might be the right fit. I don't offer band-aids—I offer breakthroughs. Let's talk and get shit done.

Areas of Expertise

I provide specialized therapeutic support for individuals navigating:

  • Depression & Mood Disorders – Breaking through persistent sadness, low motivation, and negative thought patterns

  • Anxiety & Social Anxiety – Managing excessive worry, panic, performance anxiety, and social fears that limit your potential

  • Grief & Loss – Processing complex emotions and finding meaning after significant losses and heartbreaks.

  • Neurodiversity – Including autism and ADHD, embracing your unique cognitive style while addressing challenges

  • Relationship Issues – Navigating conflicts, communication challenges, and attachment patterns

  • Addiction & Recovery – Supporting sustainable change and healing from substance use and behavioral addictions

Therapeutic Approach

As an eclectic therapist, I draw from multiple evidence-based frameworks to create a personalized approach for each client, with particular expertise in:

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – My primary framework helps you accept what's outside your control while committing to actions that enrich your life. ACT is particularly effective for anxiety, depression, and navigating life transitions by helping you clarify your values and develop psychological flexibility.

My practice is further enriched by integrating elements of:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Mindfulness-Based Interventions

  • Motivational Interviewing

  • Trauma-Informed Care

  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy

This integrative approach allows me to adapt therapeutic strategies to your unique needs rather than forcing you to fit a single model. I believe effective therapy meets you where you are while providing clear pathways toward meaningful change.

My direct, engaged style combines compassionate understanding with active collaboration to help you move beyond insight into actionable growth.

  • Yes! I'm a firm believer that people should have access to affordable mental health care. The insurances I can currently take are; Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, Optum, Oxford, Select Health, and United. I take these as well as subsidiary plans of these as well.

  • This depends entirely on your insurance plan. Check with your insurer as they will have more information than I will! Private pay sessions are $150 per session.

How long are sessions?

  • Session times vary but plan on sessions being about 55 minutes to an hour.

How frequent are sessions?

  • This entirely depends on your needs! I like to start new clients at a weekly cadence, but I also will take clients who need a cadence of every other week or even monthly.

Where are you located?

  • I offer virtual therapy sessions from the comfort and convenience of your own home (or wherever you are, as long as you have privacy).

What if we are not a good fit?

  • If we are not a good fit or if you are looking for a different type of therapy that I do not offer, I have a solid list of referrals to offer you to get you the mental health care you need!

  • If you late cancel (less than 24 hours notice) or no show to any session, there is a $75.00 fee.
